The School of Science and Technology recently organized and hosted GGG's first Hackathon on Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing. The Hackathon included a pre-event training workshop and a competition requiring its 30 participants to design, implement and test a model to predict respiratory illnesses. The Hackathon winner was GGC student Aboubacar Conde, '22, information technology.
