Nursing Application Deadlines
Be aware that the College's application deadlines differ from the nursing program's application deadlines. Prior to submitting a nursing program application, applicants must first submit a GGC application. If you are a transfer student, here鈥檚 how to apply to GGC. It is recommended that an applicant apply to GGC two months prior to the nursing application deadline. Here are the deadlines for fall and spring nursing program admissions.

You must complete your general education courses before entering the program. The nursing program is a time-consuming, challenging program with both theory and clinical components. In order to dedicate the level of commitment needed to succeed, you will be required to complete any outstanding general education course(s) during the Fall or Spring semester, prior to starting the nursing program.
The GGC nursing program anticipates admitting 30 students each fall and spring semester for a total of 60 students per academic year.
For fall admission, decision letters will be mailed the week of April 1. For spring admission, decision letters will be mailed by October 1.

All attempts will be averaged. This practice is widely accepted among nursing programs throughout the state of Georgia.
Once you are accepted into the nursing program, you will need to get a physical before entering the program and registering for the first nursing course. Also, once admitted to the nursing program, you will need to get a full background check and a urine drug screen. A physical is not necessary until you鈥檝e been accepted to the program.
